Let's be honest. The only interesting thing that happened this week was seeing Radiohead. That concert was everything I wanted it to be. I clapped, screamed, danced, and sang along with Thom (who, by the way, is just an unbelievably incredible man). Thom is everything I want for a human to be. He honestly gives me faith in humanity. The way he lets go of his inhibitions and dances as if that crowd of thousands of people weren't right in front of him is just so damn beautiful. Let's not forget his ability to create the most haunting and joyous lyrics. He is everything.

I still can't believe that I went to this concert. It's gonna take a while for it to process in my mind, mainly because if you would have approached me 6 years ago and told me I would end up seeing RADIOHEAD LIVE I would have punched you in the face for teasing & BS'ing me (I don't condone violence!). So this is officially checked off my bucket list.

I just wished I could have seen more of Jonny. He's so talented musically that I would have just paid attention to him, but I really couldn't see him that well. But I got plenty of Ed in my sight. He's so easy on the eyes and very nice to the fans. That's something I really appreciated to see. You would think that since Radiohead is so legendary and popular that they would have this heir about them that wasn't so kind and caring to their fans. They're all so damn nice that it makes my heart explose. Seeing Phil bow after getting up before encore 1 was so lovely. Oh about Phil, he's so smooth with those drums. Like wow! It's a beautiful thing to watch.

I was sad Colin hid behind Phil all night, like ALL night. He had a sweet beard too, would have loved to have seen more of him. But overall, my heart and mind can't take it all in and fathom what I've just experienced. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat if I could. Radiohead forever!

Now that I've ranted and raved about positive things. Let me rant a bit about what annoyed me at the show. This is mainly about the fans: Who in the hell sits down during a Radiohead concert. Like really. You're experiencing one of the coolest concerts and bands that are around today and you're sitting down. That's not acceptable at all. I'll give some of them a break considering that almost everyone there was over 21 so there was a ton of beer and some of them got a little faded. So yeah. Also, the ones who were standing and just standing....no dancing, singing. nothing. I just don't/can't understand that. You're at a freaking Radiohead concert. Be joyful and show it. Don't think that a lot of people were doing this, it was just a few, mainly everyone else (including myself) was having a grand 'ole time while we were standing, dancing, singing, screaming, clapping, and just loving life.

Before I go, the opening band for Radiohead called Other Lives was so beautiful. I was moved, the lead singers voice is so lovely and the music is amazing to hear in a stadium so large.

Living a Dream

Why is it taking one week so long to pass? There's so much awesome stuff that's gonna happen this year and I just want it to happen already.

So I got a fisheye lens this week. Oh my goodness, it's a dream. It makes life just look way cooler. I've been wanting one of these for years. So happy!

A friends birthday was a couple of weeks ago and the shipment of things I got for her just came in, I could have sent them directly to her house, but she would have missed out on the CUTEST birthday wrapping paper. I love it so much. Thank you Wal-Mart.

& finally, the best thing of all that happened this week. I got my Radiohead ticket in the mail. Words can't and won't be able to describe all the emotions that one ticket causes me to have. Next Saturday is going to be life changing, I already know it. I will cry, but I honestly don't care. It means a lot to me that I get to see one of the most amazing bands in the world. I'll be breathing the same air as Thom, Ed, Colin, Jonny, & Phil, oh my goodness!

My life is definitely improving and I'm enjoying this positive change.

So next week will be filled me ranting and raving about how amazing Radiohead was. Can't wait!

Hello there! Let me begin by saying I barely remember anything that has happened since my last post. I'm not sure if that is a good thing. But I'm just gonna go with the flow.

I know the first two photographs in this post aren't really cohesive with my "regular" style of photo's. That's because I'm working on a series called Continuous Discontinuity. I've got to get out of my habits of photography and try new things and editing styles. This is the second series I've done and I'm enjoying it.

I treated myself to some Starbucks after getting the disappointing news that I couldn't donate blood Friday. My iron level was 37 when it has to be 38 to be eligible to donate. I was SO bummed out about that. I love donating blood. It makes me feel like I can at least do something helpful. The only part I hate about donating is having your finger pricked, it always hurts really bad. It's weird, I can handle a needle being shoved up my arm but can't handle a finger prick. . . .

Oh and I had to include a photo of those homemade mashed potatoes. I CAN'T eat those potatoes that come in a box and are all powdery and you "just add water." I just can't. I refuse to. Real, homemade mashed potatoes are so delicious, oh my goodness. & with a bit of roast beef with gravy on the side, yes ma'am!

Okay, I'm done being fat in this post. I had a weird slash okay week and I hope everyone has a week that lives up to their expectations!

Bad Girls

I've been missing the style aspect of life. I say that because I don't put any effort into it anymore. Skinny jeans and sneakers is how I'm getting by these days. I can't say that I completely dislike it mainly because school is getting on my nerves and all I do is study so it would be a waste to try to put together outfits. Hmm.

^^^^^ Can't stop playing this song. MIA is everything.

So I got these shades this week. I'm not gonna lie, when they first came in the mail I was a bit skeptical about them, but after wearing them for a while I love them! I got them from hippie-sunglasses and regret nothing. I'm gonna order two other sunnies from them next week. I recommend them completely. & I love their 2.99$ shipping price, so perfect.

I bought the sunnies with money I made from selling some of my clothes and shoes. I sold a nice chunk of things and I've still got so much more to sell. I'm moving soon so this stuff has got to go.

& to destress I just jumped up and baked a cake. It's tasty, but just missing some chocolate icing which I gonna buy at the store tonight. Sadly, I'm excited! I say sadly because I need to start going back to the gym. I've gained 5 lbs. I'm not mad about it because it's barely noticeable. But I like staying in the same jean size, ya' know. Well now I'm rambling so I'm gonna go now!

So it's Super Bowl Sunday and I'm sitting here taking a break from studying and reading. I would much rather be at a super bowl party. But next year, I'll make sure to take advantage of this day to pig out and hang out with my friends.

I know I probably take too many photo's of my dog, but I can't help it. The cuteness takes over and I end up picking up my camera! I couldn't resist the first photo though. She had the nerve to yawn in my face.

This past week included my sister's birthday. She turned 18. Now she's an adult. ~~Can't wait to see how this turns out.~~

I don't remember what day of the week this occurred, but I got out of class one night and came home to a new bike in my room. I thought that was pretty cool! Now I can workout in nature and not in a boring gym. I'm excited!

This week also included the worst migraine I've ever had. It went on for hours. I finally took some Tylenol just for the sake of getting some sleep. I hate headaches. They put a damper on everything.

& once again, the obligatory dog photo. Can't help it!

Now I'm off to read some Anne Bradstreet for my literature class. I really don't want to, but the class and book are paid for already! I hope everyone is having the coolest Super Bowl Sunday!

Young Splendor

So I wish I could say this week flew right by, but then I would be lying. I guess I was so anxious to go to the show this Saturday that it slowed everything else down. School was super lame and I seemed to be craving something delicious to eat. I never did get what I was craving (sigh). But on with the post.
So I know this post is photo-heavy, but I like it that way.

I finally got around to fixing my glasses. It was truly terrible not having them for my classes. I don't know how I was managing without them.

My uncle bought me Whataburger this week. I love their chicken strips so much, ugh! But I always eat the slice of bread first. I'm gonna stop now before I sound even more like a fatass.

Since I am gonna be moving soon I'm realizing that I have a lot of junk that I need to get rid of. For example all the accessories that I have...they have to go. I don't want to take them with me. So I'm gonna try to sell them and host some giveaways in the future. Like I said, they HAVE to go.

I came home to a surprise sitting on my desk one day. My favorite treat of all time. Ghiradelli milk chocolate and caramel squares. Oh.My.Goodness. You have not lived until you've eaten one.

In a hunger-stupor I made fried rice at like 12 in the morning. I was starving and it hit the spot. It was worth it...even though I had to wash dishes right after making it.

& to the most eventful moment of the week. The Ava Luna and Twin Sister gig. I had so much fun. The weirdest thing is that I met someone there who is a friend of one of my friends. It was insane. We had no idea who each other was until we started chit chatting. I'm so glad to have met her. She's really cool, down-to-earth, and she knows her music. She has really good taste. Anyway, Twin Sister was absolutely beautiful. Andrea (lead vocals) is this stunning person who is so nice and sweet and of course has this beautiful voice that is so unique. I would love to see them again sometime. Ava Luna was also great. They resonate so much soul with their music live and just through a pair of headphones. I wanted to buy one of their 7"s so bad, but I knew I had spent enough money this week. I'll get it sometime later. Overall, I had a really good time!

Hmm, since it's clearly evident that I keep neglecting my blog, I'm gonna set myself for a blogger challenge to update this blog every Sunday for the rest of 2012. I just want to get back in the habit of posting on a weekly basis. & I'm excited to do this because I've got so much awesome things going on in the works for this year. So let's see how I do ya'll.

This is a track from an awesome band that I'm seeing live next Saturday.

So if you've seen my previous post of my lomography prints, let me introduce you to my new baby. She doesn't have a name yet, but she's so much fun (as I've previously stated in that post). I'm gonna have a blast with this camera in 2012.

The second photo is a test shot from my new 50mm/1.8 Nikkor lens. OH MY GOODNESS this lens is a dream. It's so dreamy and the depth of field is a lot better than the other 2 lenses I have. I just adore it.

Third photo is from me trying to study for my drivers test. But I got so bored and ended up on tumblr...oops. Well I'll get my license eventually. Now that I think of it, I probably shouldn't try to study for anything within the vicinity of my laptop.

My gramma had her birthday on the 17th and it was a good get together. She got a really awesome birthday gift. ~~Might I add that it was from me, it would be inconsiderate of me to not take the credit...wouldn't it?~~

& no there are not two different dogs in this post. My dog got a much needed haircut and she looks so different. She had a different groomer this time at the vet and I can't really say that I like the way she cut her hair but I'm just glad that my dog isn't a shaggy-constantly-shedding-puff-ball. I much appreciate my floor being free of the dog hair.

So it's the time that everyone dreads, and if you can't tell from my drab outfit, I'm talking about finals week. I'm not so lucky because as soon as finals are over, I'm instantly enrolled in an Art History class that starts the next Monday. So I'm gonna be in school during Christmas break, 5 days a week, for 3 weeks. Register all of that in your mind, it's crazy isn't it!? Wish me luck!

Anyway, I hope that those of you who have finals do really well. & just to wish everyone a happy December. & hopefully my next post is full of polaroids. I'm so excited to receive my film from the Impossible Project! Ciao.

I love this floral top, and it's a shame that I don't wear it as much. My daily-got-nowhere-special-to-go-outfits mainly consist of Converse and old band tee's I wore in high school. I'm dead serious. I miss dressing all fancy and such.

Anyway, thanks to tumblr I got listen to The Black Keys new tracks off their latest album El Camino (which, might I add, hasn't been released yet). Um, can I just say that my ears have been given life. I'm loving every track I've heard. What I wouldn't do to see them live!?

Alas, the first year of this blog is here. It is cliche to say that this year went by so fast, and for me that would be a lie anyway. This past year has been a weird one. But the smartest thing I did was create this blog. I could just pat my past self on the back for that.

Anyway, I just want to say thanks and I adore everyone who has ever taken time out of their own life to check out my blog. You have absolutely no idea how much it means to me.

Now, I'm off to go re-watch episodes of Game of Thrones. Goodness, that show is just too good. I can't wait for season 2!

I'm really loving the fact that I'm excited to blog again. Mainly because my one year of having this blog is coming up in five days. It honestly hasn't felt like a year. That's so cliche to say, I know. Anyway, just wanted to share some photo's and type some words.

Whenever winter comes along, the glutton side of me instantly thinks of Starbucks selling their peppermint mocha drink. And today I bought one. I was so excited. I couldn't wait to take that first sip. & let me tell you, it was delicious. I had to refrain from looking like a savage animal while sipping it in the grocery store. It was totally worth the $4.06.

& I had to indulge in some sushi as well. I've been on a sushi kick lately. & the spicy California roll hit the spot with me today. I normally don't eat 9 rolls in one day, but I did today. So good!

Plus, I bought some Jazmin scented incense today. & my goodness, it smells so good. I intended on only burning one, but I burned three.

Today had some really high points. That makes me happy. Now I'm off to bed so I can take an english mid-term tomorrow. Wish me luck because I have no idea what the exam is going to be about.

Hello lovelies. I just felt this burst of motivation to actually do a post so, here I am.

I'm feeling good because some really cool things are gonna be happening in the future.

One of them I found out about today, and words cannot describe how pumped I am about it.

Okay, okay, I'll tell you. Radiohead is coming to my town in March and I cannot believe it. & the added bonus is that they are going to be performing on the stage that I graduated on. That is so cool!

I'm going to stop fan-girling now.

Anyway, I've just spent the past couple of months sipping on hot tea and relaxing. I feel good.

This month wasn't that good to me, so I'm glad it's over.

Oh wait, I didn't mention that my birthday was in August!? Yes, I turned 19. It feels just like 18, the only difference is that 19 is my favorite number so I'm hoping to like this year a lot more.

I'll be the first to admit that I am not ready for the fall semester to start. Last spring was the most stressful semester of my life and I'm not ready for the all-nighters, the endless amount of assignments, incredibly boring lectures, and early morning classes. I mention all of this because I was on campus yesterday and ran into a friend we had a talk about school, and talking about school makes my head hurt. I'm already starting to get a migraine!

So I'm gonna try to salvage and enjoy the rest of my summertime, and I hope you do the same!

I went thrifting yesterday out of sheer boredom. I just had to get out of the house so I thought that would be something productive to do. I'm so so SO glad that I went because I found some neat things. For one, this really nice coat that is really comfy to the touch, not to mention when you actually slip your arms into it. I adore it. & my grand total was $33 and some change. I don't think that's too shabby for a coat, a pair of jeans, a purse, earrings, and a skirt. If I spent that at F21+ I would have gotten one thing. I love thrifting.

Plus my neighbor is moving and she gave me two beautiful containers. The design is just insanely gorgeous so I had to include them in this post.

So I've failed to mention that I'm completely obsessed with True Blood. I knew about it for so long but never watched it. For some random reason I started to watch it and finished the first 3 seasons in 2 days....I'll even admit that's crazy. It's so addicting. I'm on Eric's side by the way, Bill is so shady.

Well Hello There

I am so embarrassed that I haven't posted anything in a couple months. I didn't want this blog to include much personal information about my life but things got so hectic at the beginning of the summer that there was no way that I could post anything.

Let's sum things up.

+ spent a week in the hospital with my gramma (that was so draining but I love her so I stayed)

+ helping relatives move into a new house (at the time I didn't have ANY muscles so it was difficult)

+ consistently going to the gym (I want a change and my body is the first place to start, cheesy, I know!)

+ and much more!

Things got so crazy and out of wack that I couldn't attend my summer classes which upsets me but I'm still alive so it's all good. Life goes on, that is what I have learned from the summer so far.

So I honestly missed blogging and talking to all of you and 2 months-disappearance will never happen again. I've got a lot of catching up to do on blogs and that makes me really excited!

I wanted to thank all of you for your kind words about my interview on my last post. I actually did get the job but declined the opportunity. Like whoa, I know! But it wasn't fluid with my living situation and some other things. Once everything was explained and clarified I thought about it for a really long time and knew that I had to find something else. I'm not sad about it. It's all good. But I found out that I'm not that nervous at interviews. I was calm, cool, and collected. What else would you expect from me!? Totally kidding!

So much has happened in two weeks that it doesn't even seem real. I took my finals and finished the year off with a 3.6 GPA. All that studying was worth it. Now that I've been out of school for a couple of days, I've been catching up on some much needed rest, listening to some good music, and re-watching episodes of Parks and Recreation over and over. All while wearing Soffe shorts and sweatpants. Glamorous, right!?

So I have an interview for a job tomorrow. I've never had a job, so I hope I get this one. If not, there's many more opportunities out there. But I'm staying optimistic!

Mama's Got A New Pair of Shoes

Life. It can get hectic, especially when your in college and your professors want to pile a ton of work on you 3 weeks before the semester is over. I've felt so weird with the lack of posting and not reading blogs because blogging is part of me now. I missed all of you girls dearly!

In the meantime I've been kicking butt with these tests. Just found out that I made a 96 on a biology test that consisted of 5 chapters, I couldn't believe it. But I will admit that I smirked on the inside because this girl in my bio class thinks she's super smart and I surpassed her test grade. Felt good, not gonna lie. You have now seen the competitive side of me! & that math test from my last post, I made a 92. *faints*

Doesn't it just feel good to actually get things done! I pretty much just owned a algebra test I just took. As I walked out (the professor was also out of the room, how dumb of him) a kid just got up and cheated off some answer keys on the podium. Luckily I busted my butt studying for 3 days! Oh and let's not forget to mention that I'm taking summer classes so my butt will continue to be busted. But the day that class falls on my birthday {August 24} I'm definitely gonna have to miss out on that.

For me, I feel most beautiful when . . .

1. I get out of the shower and feel exhilarated and squeaky clean. The human body is so gorgeous and everyone should appreciate their skin and whats beneath it.

2. I'm around all those people that I love to bits, they help me so much! Without them I'd still have the self image issues that I had some years ago, and I can't thank them enough for helping me realize that you don't have to be thin to feel/be beautiful. A year ago to this day, I hated seeing full body shots of myself and now I've conquered that fear. The hell with being "conventional!"

3. I put on a new pair of shoes (preferably wedges and heels) and stick my leg out in the air like a model. My goodness, a pair of shoes can make a girl feel alive!

4. & by simply making somebody smile. In real life, I smile way, and I mean WAY too much, so being able to spread that around makes me so happy.

+ I'm so happy that we've got spring weather

+ Assignments are getting more and more intense. Ugh.

+ I'm now itching for some major retail therapy

+ I need a job (that still lets me do some studying for my classes)

+ It would be a dream if I could spend more time on Blogger*

+ Got some shows/concerts I'm thinking about going to, and they won't get out my mind!!!!

*In reference to this, I am swamped with other things and can barely log on. & when I do I feel so overwhelmed with all of the blogs. I love this place and hate that I can't give it my undivided attention.

I totally wore this on Thursday but (as the title of this post suggests) I was a bit lazy so I just delayed this post till I had some free time. Oh yeah! I had so much free time that I made spaghetti, we used a new sauce that I didn't like that much, but as long as I'm not hungry it's all good!

I made it to class on time today! Okay, I'll admit to being one minute late, but that's fine. Today would be the perfect day to just sleep in and wake up and have nothing to do, but this is reality, so sadly that can't happen. But just wait till summer!

An awesome friend of mine gave me these jeans & I wanted to try something different & I've been so anxious to wear this shirt, so here is the final product. I would have loved to roll the sleeves up on the sweater, but it's sadly impossible, so I couldn't expose the white of the sleeves of the button down shirt.

Off the bat, my first day back to class I woke up late and missed my 8 AM english class. Can I admit that I'm not to bothered by that! Wednesday Night Outing

So Wednesday night I went out to see a show. I mainly went to see Driftless Pony Club because I really like their music, but there was another act called Heresy Theory, and the lead singer couldn't have been more sweet, I just had to give her a hug at the end of their set! So I just wanted to post some images from the show and the extremely laid back outfit I wore.

The inside and outside of the venue was really awesome. I kept thinking of how great a photo shoot would look in there! I wanted to have some of the really cool, vintage things that were in there in my bedroom!

Heresy Theory was pretty good. The music was way to loud, I could barely hear what she was singing, but overall, I would totally listen to the album in my free time! & her tights were amazing, I couldn't stop staring!

& the main attraction, DPC. It was really good. Of course there were those teenagers who felt way to cool to groove to the music, how I can't stand those kids. I mean, you payed $8 to just come in the building and stand there!?! Makes no sense to me. Myself on the other hand, was jamming out just like I was in my bedroom listening to the album alone.

The night ended with me meeting the lead singer (first photo of DPC) and I can't express how awkward that was. I'm just an awkward person. He was cool, it was totally my fault! If I had fair skin, my face would have been kool-aid red! Oh, but this tops the cake. I walked out of the venue and a guy wearing a leather jacket sitting with two other people asked me "What is a dirty sanchez?" I tried not to laugh and told him I didn't know, even though I knew. I just couldn't bear another awkward moment!

Get Myself Into It

I'm at a loss of words for what to say. Not that anything traumatic has recently happened, thank goodness, but it's just a cold and rainy day so I'm just really wanting to go home and get in my bed and watch Arrested Development. But that won't be able to happen until 7 pm.

Can I quickly rant. I get so paranoid when I'm on my computer on campus and someone sits behind me. I just don't feel comfy. & it doesn't help that there were about 50 other tables around me but this particular person chose a table right behind me. Am I the only one this serious about personal space?

I love being genuinely happy for no reason at all. That is the state that I am in right now. I don't want, nor have, a real explanation for this happiness. It feels great! Okay, I will mention one thing that happened recently that just had me smiling. The release of The Strokes new song. I'm playing it as I type this. The song is so groovy, and who doesn't like the aesthetic of Julian!? The song is below!

I must admit that I dressed as though I was going to attend a funeral today. It makes me laugh for some reason because I've been waiting for this type of weather for about 4 months, and as soon as it's 70 degrees outside, I resort to wearing all black. I did get tons of stares, I can say that much!

I Haven't Got My Strange

Am I the only one feeling like life is getting a bit normal. There's something about mundane routines that I just missed, not gonna lie! I guess I've hit a comfort level that I've been lacking, or it could be the fact that Texas has been getting 70 degree weather all week! I love this!

I never really talk about what I'm wearing but I must say that the amazing sweater that I'm wearing in this post is my new best friend. It's the perfect color and it's very loose, all those things add up to me just beaming with happiness. & I'm wearing the shirt that I chopped up and made into a skirt. I like it so far, it's just that there's tons of fabric and it's very loose around the waist.

What a nice day today has been. I now inhabit a clean bedroom, I live in a place where the weather is now the perfect Spring temperature, and I got some new threads. & now I'm listening to the new Radiohead album and it is just beautiful. I hope these guys do an American tour.

I just threw on this outfit because I had to run some errands. You can run errands & not look homeless! I always shake my head when people wear those house slippers out in public.

I now know what it feels like to be drunk. I have consumed NO alcohol, it's just that I'm extremely exhausted and feel like I am acting like some kind of drunk zombie. My D.U.I. would be "drowsy under the influence." Going for hours without sleep is the same equivalent of being intoxicated, I read that somewhere and it's seems to be true in my opinion. So moral of the story, get your sleep people. Or you'll be sitting in your algebra class with your eyes going in and out of focus and doing that head-nod thing when you start to fall asleep.

I might re-take these photos when I get home because I think they're bad. I was in a big rush this morning. I kind of indulged in my shower this morning putting me behind schedule!

5 days. 5 whole days I've been gone. I've hated every single minute of those 120 hours.

So in the midst of all my extreme (I cannot stress that any further) studying for this 5 chapter biology test and english paper that are both due on the exact some day, geez, I'm creating this little pick-me-up post.

But on the plus side, the weather has been consistently beautiful. Look at me talking about the weather like a grandma!

1. I use to have straight hair but finally got the guts to wear my natural, curly hair.

2. I love college.

Off topic but must be addressed: I keep seeing girls walking around campus wearing tights and leggings as pants. Not as an accessory under a dress, but with a really short top. It's killing me softly.

Cold Fingertips and Mental Energy

I'm constantly thinking these days. It's as if deja vu happens daily, constantly. Exclude these next few words in the essence of this "deja vu", I just had a feeling that this week would be "worth forgetting" in the near future, and was I absolutely right. One exception is that my brother spent the night last night, but due to my procrastination I couldn't hang out with him due to the TON of assignments and homework that had to be done before today. Drats. I didn't fall asleep until about 3 and have to get up at 6:30.

As pathetic as these combined words make me seem, it can't be helped because this is, after all, a blog that I want to be about my life and my supposed "style". Now, I give you the style part in the normal picture form! *cheesy smile* I feel so 70s today!

It's such a shame that it got terribly cold again outside. I think I just got my hopes up way to soon. Oh well, I'm only outside for like .003 seconds anyway, right. Something that makes me happy while I'm on campus is seeing other girls with hair like mine. It was very, very, VERY uncommon for me to see this when I lived in Florida, but then again my hair wasn't curly 2 years ago. I'll refrain from actually typing the flashback montage that's going on in my head.

Today was one of those extremely lazy days, and it felt good to just lay around and peruse around the internet and eat Oreo's. With that being said, I want to share aspects of my life on my blog and not just always post things pertaining to what I'm wearing. (That would just be predictable) So I just wanted to share some photos of what my weekend consisted of.

I also chopped up a shirt that I could not stand to wear as a top and made it into a mini-skirt. I didn't want to give it away because I loved the print so I got a bit creative and I'm loving the outcome. It was from JCP and I got if for $3 so I couldn't turn that deal down, right?

I'm just gonna start this off by saying that I now have diabetes thanks to the intensely oh-so sweet tea from Whataburger. But it was worth every sip. Now lets get down to business. I finally got inspired to make a outfit on my own for the first time. I just get a lot of inspiration from others so it's a pretty good feeling to do this solo.

I can't take winter anymore, I'm sick of wearing jeans and pants, so today I put all of that aside and wore one of the longest "skirts" I have. I can't wait for it to get hot so I can have my legs breathe again!

For some reason today, I've been extremely social while on campus. Talking to people I don't know, speaking out a lot in class . . . it feels pretty good. Let's get real, I'm not going to feel like this every Tuesday and Thursday because it's life. Some days I'm going to be stressed, tired, neutral, or like today just alive and happy. Hopefully I keep this up until 7 tonight!

For once, I have nothing to say. So in order to just waste space by adding words I will mention that I'm on campus and just got out of my 8 o'clock english class and am waiting for my 10 o'clock math class to start. Exciting, huh? I would love for someone to fill my bank account to the max so that my glamorous life can begin.

Tired Already But Salvaging My Optimism

I've only gone to all of my classes twice and I'm already burned out. I have a 3 hour biology class and I get so anxious to leave when I'm in there. I was sitting down so long in that class yesterday that my bottom started to hurt! They could at least give us big comfy chairs to sit in while we try to pay attention, but I would probably curl up and fall asleep!

So I lucked out and discovered that SXSW (a music and film festival, I just care about the music) is the same week as my spring break. How awesome is that? So right now I totally have the coins to go so hopefully I don't go completely broke before March. And if I don't go, I'm going shopping! That's my optimistic attitude!

The Bold Arrow of Time

I'm back in classes! I don't think anyone can comprehend how happy that makes me. I was getting a natural high off of all the work that my professors said would have to be done this semester, yes, I've gone officially crazy. I just need responsibility in my life that's all.

I finally got to wear this amazing top and it made me feel good from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (that's how long my classes are). Also, I got to wear those oxford booties which did hurt a little, but that's only because it was my first time actually wearing them out of the house, but the pain was worth it!

I'm truly honored that Ariana from fatale fashion passed down this blog award, Your Blog Is Breathtaking, to me and other fellow bloggers who I admire. So I'm going to answer some questions and pass this award down to some bloggers who I think have great blogs!

What inspires you?

I get most of my inspiration from music and photography. It's a different way of getting inspired in the name of style, fashion, and personality but it just works for me.

What is your favorite season and why?

Without a doubt, it's fall! The weather is so neutral and there is that breeze in the air that makes your hair blow in the wind, it's just perfect to me. Also, I can leave my window open all day long and enjoy the weather.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

I'm looking forward to getting done with my freshman year in college and progressing in the blogging world. I didn't have anything to look forward to at the start of 2010, but 2011 has already given me hope and opened my eyes to how blogging is going to help me out this year! Oh, and turning 19 because that's my favorite number!

If you could write a book about anything, what would you write about?

I would write a book about overcoming the odds of thinking that aesthetic looks matter. This would be a topic I could relate to so much due to what I've gone through in life. People, guys and girls, shouldn't have to worry about the opinions of others during their life because it doesn't matter what he/she thinks of you. You have to live your own life and feel happy on your own because no one else can do that for you.

What is your greatest passion?

Point blank, photography. Photography is the only artistic thing that I hold a bit of pride in, it's that one thing that I can put my all in and come out with a cheesy grin plastered on my face.

If you could change one thing about your life or yourself, what would it be and why?

I would move to a different state. Most people know where they belong, location wise, in life and I know that I am not a Texan. I belong in a place where individuality is rampant, where I can walk outside and just appreciate my city and state, and even brag about it on occasion. I'm thinking I would move to Seattle or Portland, I secretly want to live on the west coast!

Lastly, what is your favorite novel?

The Cure for Modern Life is an absolutely fantastic book. I laughed and enjoyed every single word. The story is told so well that I didn't want the book to end when I got to the last chapter. I seriously recommend this book to everyone!

All of this free time that I have has given me a lot of time to just think. To think of serious things like where I want to be in 2 years in terms of physical location and socially. In a nutshell I relocated my senior year in high school and am still having difficulty getting over that and miss my real friends so much. I just know that this isn't the place for me so I think about what I'm going to do to fix this. I try to go with the flow and not stress but I want to live a truly happy life so this needs to be fixed.

I just recently joined in on a project called 'Things I Love: 365' and I'm really excited about it. Christina from Randomness, á la Mode came up with the idea and it's genius! It's a project where you list 365 things that you love! I find that this will be fun and challenging. I know that I say 'I love this and that and the other thing' but coming up with 365 things seems so out of my league, but I bet it will come together with ease! I'm up for the challenge so if you want to join on in, jump on the bandwagon!

I'm doing my project in the form of photos that I have taken. I'm going to make this more difficult than it has to be because I want a challenge, I want to be put to the test! So I hope you enjoy the photos and that you join in on the project!

Jeans and T-Shirt Kind of Day

I will admit that I still very much love jeans! I don't see why some people refuse to wear them! They're a staple in a wardrobe for me. I wore them today to run errands but feel man-ish when I don't dress the jeans up so I had to add femininity to them by adding the shoulder purse, scarf, belt, and boots. I just wore a regular 'old v-neck t-shirt because I like comfort! And while getting dressed I was doing my new daily ritual of listening to The Black Keys album, I just can't get over how amazing it is! If you can, give it a listen!

It's 2011 And . . .

First post of the year, imagine a ridiculous amount of confetti falling thanks to gravity and those obnoxious noise makers, and there we go! Cue sappy music - I want to thank every single person who has come to this itty bitty blog and left comments and followed me. This thing has only been in existence for about 2 months but it's been great so far!

In the spirit of my laziness lately, here's a post about what I plan to accomplish closet-wise. I want to get rid of a lot of stuff that I don't wear simply because I think it's atrocious or because it doesn't fit me well. I don't keep small clothes -that's just crazy! The majority of my clothes are too big for me so I want to start buying thrifted clothes because that is in my price range!

Secondly, I ventured out into the dangerous shopping district out here! It does suck living around a bunch of wealthy people when your not wealthy - that's me - because of how chaotic shopping can be! But I squeezed into the narrow aisles of Macy's and found some fabulous finds! My most frugal find was this top for $5.62 - yes I remembered the total, I didn't have to go find the receipt!

Let me explain before anything else! There are tons of after Christmas sales and I just couldn't resist! That's my excuse okay!

Anyway . . .

I decided to go to Town Center today and check out to see what shops had the best sales and found myself surrounded by a lot of people. But I knew there was a safe haven in one store, a store that can only serve a limited amount of people! A plus sized store amongst tons of skinny people who walk past it without even noticing it, Avenue.

The had 50% everything in the store I believe and I took advantage of that. I bought the oxford booties that I've been drooling over for the past couple of months. Something told me to just wait patiently and that they would be mine . . . and now the are!

I'm trying to build a shoe collection and it's going well so far.

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas!

This year was really good for my family, not due to getting material things, but for the fact that we were genuinely happy to be around each other. I had a lot of fun buying them things and watching their reactions when opening the stuff.

I kind of tricked them by putting their clothes and stuff in really unrelated boxes. Like using my MacBook box and my Marc Jacobs box, it was rather amusing because they got none of those things. But we had a good time and I'm actually excited for next year!

So while I was at the Galleria yesterday I decided to treat myself to some things. My brother was nice enough to pay for a pair of shoes for me even though he didn't have to!

So we made a quick stop in Torrid because they had that amazing sale of BOGO 50% off, so I got these beauties for myself and bought my Gramma a pair for Christmas, the ones I bought her are here.

These are absolutely comfy and not to mention lovely to look at!

I ducked into Charlotte Russe while my brother got a break from all the girly stores and took total advantage of that sale they had. I forgot how awesome shopping in a store can be, I've got to slow down on my online shopping.

I got these earrings because I love the detail on the circle.

Well these were the only things I treated myself to. I'm very appreciative of all the things my family got for me, but I am just happy that I could give them such lovely things. Well this is the end of this post and I hope that the holidays have treated you well!

Good 'Ole Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve ya'll! :)

So it's been a very, very busy day for me! I woke up with the intentions of doing nothing, then remembered that I barely bought any gifts for my family members (the ones I live with). Thus, creating a day where my brother (who surprised me by showing up to my house - I looked a HOT mess) and I went to the Houston Galleria. Yes, we went to the Galleria on Christmas Eve even though we knew it would be packed with pandemonium. For those of you unsure on what the Galleria is, it's a 3 story super mall with a friggin hotel on the inside. Lets just say you better trace your steps back to your car or you will be wandering around that place for hours, I learned my lesson!

Well, I had fun even though I was dumb enough to wear my boots because that mall includes a lot of walking! Makes me want to pretend like I have a limp so I can get a automatic wheelchair, but come on that's wrong and not to mention I would get stared at by more strangers than I would even be able to see.

After leaving the mall, we were on the hunt for a restaurant that was still open AFTER 6 p.m. and our first attempt was Kona Grill because we were really in the mood for sushi, but they suck and closed shop so we had to leave. Thank you TGI Fridays for staying open for our poor tummies! We got some good eats, I got the steak fajita, so good, and then headed to my apartment where I procrastinated on wrapping the gifts because my feet were killing me!

All in all, I had a really good day. Anyway, here's what I wore.

It started to pour tons of rain and I'm so glad I threw my coat in the backseat to save me!

I stick by what I say and I don't want to offend anyone but in this day and age more people need to care less of what others do (especially if it's not hurting anyone). We should all live our lives the way that we desire because that will only make us happy.

Too Festive

I completely know it's the wrong time of year to wear such a blend of colors but I DO WHAT I WANT. And I really hate wearing monochromatic colors because that can get a bit boring and not to mention depressing. Color will never go out of style. I will not conform to the belief that in winter black, black, and more black clothes is what's to be done. I can admit that it just feels like a fall afternoon where I live so that makes is especially okay for me!

Oh my, I have some great news! My first semester of college I got all "A's" meaning a GPA of a 4.0!

I would have never thought that I would actually achieve that goal. I was expecting to make at least one "B" but I'm so thankful and happy that I didn't procrastinate as much! There were those days where I just wanted to throw my hands in the air and just browse around online and how happy am I that I didn't do that!

Anyway . . .

I'm on the hunt for a great charity to donate to because I really want to help out instead of spending my money on selfish desires. I would feel so much better if I gave money to someone in need or for a good cause instead of buying another pair of shoes. I want to stay away from getting too attached to material things because that can become a terrible habit and addiction. Well enough of my rambling, on to what I wore to church. :)

Ever since I finished all my finals and have spent the past two days doing absolutely nothing, I haven't gotten properly dressed or even left my house! That's some commitment, right?! In all honesty, and I can't believe I feel this way, I don't like having too much free time. It makes me feel like my life has no purpose at the time being. When my life is hectic and I'm busy I feel like I'm getting somewhere and am improving myself. Just sitting at home and watching YouTube videos for a month is going to do some permanent damage!

But YouTube rocked today because there was the live "Project 4 Awesome" show and I was sad when it ended. Watching the live show really affected me and I wish that at that exact moment I could walk out of my house and help someone in need, but I live in an area where just about everyone is privileged, so I'd have to get on the freeway and go the distance.

I'm not wanting to make this post too wordy so I'm going to end this with a kind of sad note. This is a video from the live showing of "Project 4 Awesome" and it really touched me. I don't know the full situation between the woman involved but I actually started to cry because it's so lovely to see that there are people out there who are genuine and really care for others.

I'm Feeling Like A Gypsy

A Wednesday afternoon hasn't felt this good since August. No classes to go to, no kids running around my house (my cousins are too young to be home alone after school so they have to come to my house . . . . but not today), just a lovely day. I'm in the mood for a road trip. There's so much land here in Texas, duh, so there are so many places to go to but everything looks the same here. I'd have to leave the state to get something new. That reminds me, I'm planning on going to SXSW next year in Austin and that makes me so excited. It's only 2 hours away from Houston so that shall be grand if it happens. Hopefully school doesn't get in my way! A music festival is exactly what I need right now, especially since I'm dressed for an outdoor festival!

It might look like I'm wearing a skirt, but it's actually a maxi dress! I put this oversized shirt over the top of the dress and it is very comfy. I love love love the way the dress flows and you can twirl around and the skirt waves in the air. I dressed down today because I don't plan on going anywhere except to my mailbox! :)

Oh Happy Day

I'm writing this post on campus, how exciting since it's not at my apartment. Oh sarcasm! So I just took my Sociology final, literally about 20 minutes ago, and it was a breeze. I love the feeling that all my hard work of studying and working my butt to the bone paid off because I seriously think I aced that thing! Now, cue dramatic lighting, I've got a algebra test to conquer. I'm not looking forward to that at all, but I'm just gonna relish the fact that I probably made an "A" on a final! Ironically, the last time that I aced a final was in high school and that was for chemistry. Please don't think of me as a nerd, it's just that I study harder for those difficult classes.

Anyway . . .

I decided to glorify my last Sociology class by consistently getting "dressed up" and taking my test in something appropriate. Not sweatpants or some old t-shirt that needs to be donated or thrown out, that will never do. It is kind of sad for me because I really enjoyed this class and now I'm anxious to see how my classes in the spring will follow suit. Hopefully everything goes great!

Delightful Sunday

It feels really nice on this Sunday afternoon regardless of the fact that the wind made my hair a bit unruly. But there's always a plus side to have extremely curly hair, just fluff the hair and your okay! I've only left my apartment to go to church and then headed straight back home to show my casual outfit. I'm not one of those people who feel like I have to get all dolled up to go to church. As long as I'm there and am happy, my attire shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, don't come to church in pajamas!

I try to stay away from jeans on Sundays because I wear them too much during the actual weekdays, but I was so tired when I woke up that my senses weren't right. That's why I'm one of those obsessive people who need their outfit picked out the night before, I do that so I can sleep in until the very last minute! My laziness always gets the best of me.

Russel Stover candies are so delicious, they're gonna turn me into a diabetic. You know when something is so sweet that it makes your teeth hurt? Yeah, that's Russel Stover's for you. Since it's getting closer and closer to Christmas, I can admit that I'm getting a lot more happier and I hope you are too!

Today, which consisted of me only going to one class so far, has been so good! I haven't had a day like this in a long time and I miss this feeling. I went to class and had a really great conversation with two of my classmates and I can thank them for putting me in this great mood! Too bad the next time I go to that class it will be the last class because I'm taking my final! I'm scared and extremely nervous about it, I need some luck! I would love to do an outfit post, but . . . I've been looking pretty shabby lately so I'll just post about the awesome clothes on ASOS Curve. I check their site at least twice a week and always end up drooling at some - well most - of the clothes. I need to jump on the bandwagon and take advantage of this free shipping but my wallet is looking a little thin right now. *Sad face*

I like ASOS Curve because the clothes are very sophisticated and high on the fashion totem pole unlike some other big girl stores. Since high fashion clothes normally come in straight sizes, I would just overlook the fact that I could dress like those photoshopped models in Vogue magazine, but thank you ASOS Curve for making a non-existant dream coming true. Hopefully within the next year my style gets significantly better and I make better choices on how to spend my money.

Today was just another uneventful day of going to class, in fact I still have one class to go to tonight. This was one of those days where I was especially bored so I spent more time putting together an outfit. I'm the type of person that feels like I can accomplish more errands and important tasks when I'm dressed a lot better than normal. So that is exactly what I did! My day started off with being late to my Sociology class and then having to deal with the busy counselors office. I seriously hate my trips into that place. No matter what time of day, that place is guaranteed to be full. Anyway, when I finally got a counselor to chat with me I was not surprised to notice that she was a bit rude. By the way, I've never seen this exact counselor before so I'm already a bit peeved. At my campus the counselors seem like they want to rush everybody out of there and not sit down and take the time to handle things. I just have to say that I can't wait to transfer!

I try to stay away from looking at the gorgeous clothes that only come in straight sizes because it would be pointless to glance at clothes that I know I would never fit into (and afford, ModCloths clothes are a bit pricey). Set aside the clothes and accessories and what's left, their cute collection of things for an apartment or house. Some of the items have been on my mind for months but I just haven't got the courage to whip out the plastic and buy them. That day will come (I believe pretty soon because I'm about to cave in) and I'm sure I won't regret my purchase. I haven't taken my lunch anywhere since high school but this would be a serious game changer. The colors are so subtle and lovely and that would make me happy to carry it around.

Anyway . . .

Today was just a normal Sunday of going to church and then we headed on over to WalMart where I bought my beloved gummi worms. I swear I have a addiction! Today was one of those days where I wish I lived in an area where it snowed. Thats weird for me because I absolutely loathe snow! It just slows everything down and makes like difficult, but I'm really craving to go up north and endure some snow. I guess it's because it actually feels like Christmas nowadays. Especially since my Gramma made some homemade chicken noodle soup. So yummy! Well I hope that everyone is doing good, now on with the outfit!

I'm not the type of person who stays on top of trends because in the end they will die out and my purchases will no longer fit in! So when I bought this sequin top a couple of months ago, I had no idea that it was . . . "trendy." It's a lovely top and its really comfy and that's all I needed to know! I put this outfit on today even thought I have not left to go anywhere! I basically put it on to do a blog post because I love blogging!

So it's the day after Thanksgiving and I'm still feeling a bit bloated! I didn't even eat that much . . . just some ham and dressing (my two loves). As much as I hate to say this, I'm probably gonna hit the gym! Toning up my body couldn't hurt, eh? Well it's the least I could do since there's gonna be another feast for Christmas! I ramble too much! By the way, the two photos below, the shirt looks different in each photo. The photo to the left had sunlight hitting it, so it appears to be a bluish-gray. The right photo is the normal color.
